12 Tools, Access & Approved Software
Use only licensed/approved tools; access is least‑privilege and time‑bound.
12.0.1 Approved Tool Categories
- Communication & Meetings: Slack, Email, Google Meet (record to project folder per Documentation Standards section).
- Project/Work Tracking: ODOO/ZOHO (one source of truth per project).
- Code & CI/CD: GitHub/GitLab, required reviews, protected branches; CI pipelines and release tags.
- Docs & Knowledge: Google Drive/Docs/Sheets; indexes in #resources_documents_links (Documentation Standards section).
- Security: Password manager, MFA everywhere, VPN on untrusted networks (Security & Privacy section).
- Design: Figma (libraries versioned), asset repositories with export specs. Also consider penpot.
- AI: Claude will be provided. Usage of Cursor, Google Colab, and OpenAI products can be provided. Do not use AI services of Chinese origin for your work. Our clients don’t use them, we shouldn’t either.
- Time Tracking: Solidtime (https://time.pihexlabs.com/dashboard) for logging hours against projects and tasks.
Tool names may vary by client; stricter client standards override our defaults.
12.0.2 Access Management
- Request access via your manager; standard SLA: 1 business day for common tools.
- For Solidtime, ensure you are added to the correct projects so you can log time accurately; request access or project changes via your manager or #help-desk.
- Do not sign up for unapproved tools with Company emails; request evaluation via IT.
- On role change or exit, all access is revoked within 24 hours; return equipment and delete/wipe Company data per instructions.
- Keep device model/OS/serial registered with IT; report changes within 3 days.
12.0.2.1 Additional Pointers:
Prefer client‑approved tools when different from Company defaults.
Post any tool changes in #team-announcements with a short why/how.
Personal devices with Company data must be wiped of Company data on exit.
Device security: Full‑disk encryption required; OS auto‑updates on (Security & Privacy section).
