11 Compensation, Time Tracking & Invoicing (Remote Context)
11.0.1 Compensation Philosophy
Market Reference: Compensation is benchmarked against market rates for role, location, and experience level.
Internal Equity: Consistent pay progression within each level; transparent promotion criteria (Career Levels & Rubrics section, Performance Reviews section).
Performance Tie: Variable pay (bonuses, spot awards) is tied to shipped outcomes, customer value delivered, and impact on company/team goals.
Transparency: Compensation decisions and progression paths are documented; questions welcome via People Ops.
11.0.2 Payroll & Payment
Employees: Payroll is processed monthly in INR; statutory deductions apply. Any variable pay is per plan documents.
Hourly/Contract Roles: Maintain accurate timesheets; payment based on approved hours or deliverables, subject to variable workloads.
No‑Work Months (Contractors): Hours may vary; no guarantee of minimum hours unless expressly stated in the contract.
11.0.3 Time Tracking & Solidtime
- Solidtime (https://time.pihexlabs.com/dashboard) is the system of record for working hours.
- Pay is based on approved hours logged in Solidtime.
- Client invoices use Solidtime data (projects, tasks, and descriptions) as the primary source for billable hours and resolving any disputes with the client.
- See Work Hours, Time Zones & Scheduling → Time Tracking with Solidtime for day-to-day usage guidance.
